Education

The LMI fosters regional education towards human resource development cooperation, narrowing economic and social disparities and ensuring sustainable economic and social development in the sub-region by increasing opportunities to the people of the lower Mekong basin, increasing competitiveness of the Lower Mekong countries in the global market, and enhancing the benefits of sub-regional cooperation and equitable integration. Opportunities include improving knowledge sharing, increasing technical English skills, and enhancing communication between scientists, specialists, and policy makers in all disciplines.
