U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY WORKSHOP — FORECAST MEKONG IN VIETNAM
From October 24-26, 2011 USGS scientists conducted a three day hands-on workshop on radar remote sensing for natural resource mapping and assessment in Can Tho Vietnam. The workshop was hosted by the Dragon Institute at Can Tho University.

Interagency LMI Water Coordination Meeting
LMI Water Projects coordination meeting. This meeting will be bheld to call for updates from each organization working on water related issues in the Lower Mekong region, and that has indicated they would attend either in person or by telephone. For groups not on the agenda that would like to provide an update, USGS will adjust the agenda at the beginning of the meeting to accommodate. There's a lot going on in, Mekong Basin and we hope you can join us for this information sharing meeting.
Forecast Mekong: Visualizing Shared Waters
This video is a form of science diplomacy requested by the U.S. Department of State to educate policy-makers and citizens in Southeast Asia about the vital importance of the Mekong river and delta in maintaining food security and livelihoods in the region. The video also seeks to make policy-makers aware of the potential impacts of climate change on people and the environment of the Mekong delta. It is available in English, as well as the four languages of the Lower Mekong nations.
2011 Lower Mekong Countries Disaster Management (LMCDM) Workshop
This workshop is the first of its kind in response to State’s LMI and will focus on developing collective capabilities in disaster management through collaboration efforts of dialogues, information exchanges, practical engagements and exercises
